I grew up in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and studied Composition with Alfred Fisher and Garth Hobden at the University of Alberta. Focusing primarily on electroacoustic music initially, I have provided scoring for film and professional theatre among other projects and have recently begun exploring choral music.
I strive to elicit an immediate, visceral and hopefully profound response in listeners through sound that runs the gamut of semblant moods from joyful to disturbing, but insofar as I am able, never less than beautiful. Some of my influences include Bartok, Ravel, Debussy and Vaughan Williams.
I also enjoy writing words, and live in Ontario, Canada now with my husband Marco and our cat Winnie.
